2025 is the year to improve your life. Yes, you might have other priorities and habits you’re trying to build. But here’s the 13 habits you must build in 2025 to completely change your life, financially, physically, and emotionally.
Practice the habits one at a time and you’ll see the improvements days after days in 2025.
(Only read the bold parts if you want to know on points!)

1. Practice Gratitude
“Be grateful for who you are now, what you have now, and what you’re doing now. Because you’ll never have the present things the same way again.”
Show gratitude for everything and every time. You should be grateful for the food you eat, the water you drink, the house you live in, the opportunities you get, the people you have, and so on. Because there are so many people out there who don’t possess what you have abundantly now.
But most of the time, we forget to appreciate things out loud or in mind.
Practice: When you wake up, say 5 things you’re grateful for. Or you can write them down in your journal. Starting a day with gratitude will put you in the flow of positive energy and make your day better.
2. Visualize
“Visualization is a habit that you need to build day after day. But once you master at it, your whole life will change.”
You need to use all the five senses in the process of visualization, the small, the taste, the voices, the scene, and the touch. The point of visualization is to prepare for future, to build self confidence, to build strong connection between our action and our goals. And it’s an effective manifestation method too. (I’ll talk about it in detail very soon)
Practice: Every morning when you wake up, sit in your comfortable position, close your eyes and start focusing on your breathing first. When you feel calm, imagine a life you want to live, the goals you want to accomplish, things you want to have. The key is to make it feel so real that you’re thinking about yesterday.
3. Read Everyday
“You’re what you consume and that also includes what you feed to your mind.”
No matter how much the social media are the open sources to learn everything we want, the knowledge we can get from a book is so much higher. Reading is not only about knowledge, it’s also a training for our brain to focus, to connect things, and be disciplined.
Practice: Read at lease 15mins a day, or 5 pages a day. Make a list of books that you want to read and have them physically or digitally so that you’ll get access to them whenever you want.
If you don’t know what to read, I’ve the book list for 2025. You can read it here: 24 self help books for 12 months of 2025.
4. Plan Daily
“Goal without a plan is just a dream.”
We all have this mental load that is carrying our responsibilities, things to do, priorities, and endless which leads to cause anxious and feeling not doing enough. That’s why we need to plan ahead.
When you plan your days, you know what are your priorities and must-done work. You don’t miss any important thing. Your brain feels organized and safe because you’re catching up with every task. At the end of the day, you’ll feel accomplished and awarded.
Practice: Start your day by planning ahead. List three priorities for the day, and all the tasks you need and want to accomplish today.
5. Practice Deep Work
“Deep work will differentiate your work quality, yourself, and your confidence from your environment.”
The deep work sessions are amazing because it’ll put you in the flow stage of working or studying. Your focus is only on one task and so you brain can generate more ideas and connections on that topic.
But at first, it’ll be difficult in this “full of distraction” world. However, once you got the habit, the amount of work you can finish and the quality of work will increase beautifully.
Practice: Turn off your notifications and everything that will distract you from your focus. Set your timer for 2hours. In this two hours, you’ll work on only one task, your priority or something that needs full attention or a task that you’ll probably procrastinate to work on.
6. Limit Screen Time
“You can have done so many things for the amount of time you scroll your phone. It’s not even good for your health.”
You need to limit your screen time in 2025. This year is to focus on yourself, to build a strong foundation of you, to improve every part of your life. You’re not wasting your time anymore like last year. Instead of chasing these virtual enjoyment, connect with the nature, do your hobbies, start the business, do what’s good for you.
Practice: During the first hour as soon as you wake up and an hour before you go to bed, do not use your phone or laptop or iPad or whatever things with screen. During the day, limit your screen time.
7. Exercise
“The future you will thank you so much for do exercising and taking care of your body now.”
Your body and health are the most precious thing you have in life and you need to take care of them so that it will create more value to your life. Without good health, you can do nothing at all. That’s why you need to build this habit of exercising in 2025 with no excuse.
Exercising could be just walking or going to the gym or working out at home, it totally depends on you. The key thing is to be consistent, doesn’t matter to have this hour long gym sessions. You need to move your body every single day.
Practice: Have a workout plan and routine. Be consistent and be discipline. Skipping workout day means you’re just hurting your future self.
8. Learn Something New
“Learning should be your daily routine. You need to learn something new every day if you want to be better and better.”
Imagine you learn one new thing every single day for a year. At the end of the year, you know 365 new knowledge. Knowledge is the treasure that no one can steal from you. They’ll always be useful in one way or another.
Practice: Research one topic everyday. Have it in your daily routine. And to be more effective, write it down so you can review it after.
9. Check-in Yourself
“Weekly and monthly checking in yourself will align you with your goals.”
You have goals and plans that you’ve been working on but without reminding yourself about them, you’ll forget them at one point. To take actions that are align with your goals, to adjust them with your life, you need to check-in of what you’re working towards.
Practice: Have a consistent weekly check-in time and monthly check-in time in your plans. It won’t take that much time but the point is to keep reminding yourself about these goals and visions you have for your future and to be on track of them.
10. Meditation
“If you’ll build only one habit, let meditation be your habit to build.”
Meditation is like the magic pill to solve all your problems. It calms your mind. It sharpens your focus. It cures the emotional and physical pains. Whenever you feel something bad like lonely, sad, whatever, meditate!
Meditation is a simple yet difficult to do. It’s basically focusing on only one thing by closing your eyes. It could be your breathing, or it could be the pain in your body. When you practice a lot, you can look at your thoughts like a second person.
(There are so many interesting things you need to know about meditation and I’ll share it on this website soon.) Right now, focus on your breathe and you’ll be fine.
Practice: As soon as you wake up or just before you go to sleep, meditate for like 15mins by focusing on your breathe. It’ll relax your body and calm your mind to sleep or to start the day. It’ll be better if you can do both time.
11. Learn to say “No”
“The ability to say No is the best practice you can build for yourself.”
In new year, you’re not accepting things that don’t serve you for your good. You need to learn to say “No” to things that don’t align with your goals and values. It includes invitations, offers, food, people, everything.
You don’t have to allow things because they’re your friend. Your life and goals are more important. It’s time to build boundary and the first step is to say “No” to things you don’t want. It’s that simple. And if the other person really does values you and loves you, they’ll respect your choice. If they get offended by your “No”, honey! Run, they’re not your people.
Practice: Every time you get offered for something, Ask yourself three questions: 1. Do I want to do it? 2. Does it serve for my good and my goals? 2. Does it align with my values? If there are two “No”, just say no.
12. Gut Health
“Your skin, your brain function, your productivity, your overall health are all depending on your gut health. Don’t be late to take care of gut health.”
If you want a healthy clean skin in 2025, you need to add the habit to take care of your gut health asap. It’s not actually complicated as it sounds. You need to eat real food and water. You have to avoid sugar, processed food, unhealthy carbs, and that’s it. So, in general, you need to be disciplined with your eating system.
(ofc you need to detox your liver and take care of your kidney. I’ll share the practice and recipes for them in the near future.)
Practice: Make a list of food you need to eat in meals, as snacks. Write down every single food so that you get more options. Take that list whenever you go grocery shopping. I won’t force you to cut off all that delicious junk food but to limit them. Limit the amount of those food you eat and you’ll notice the difference in your body.
13. Build Personal Brand
“There’s only YOU in this whole world and you need to take advantage of it. Build a personal brand that shows off you for who you are: your uniqueness, your thoughts, your abilities, the YOU.”
Having a personal brand will take you further in life. Imagine someone recognized you as who you are before you even talk to them. Imagine the employers are offering jobs because they see your skills and ability. Imagine the world knows you before you even introduce yourself. That’s the power of having a personal brand.
The important part is the process of building your personal brand. Because along the journey of building your brand, you’ll learn a lot about yourself. You’ll get to know what you like, what you’re good at, what you’re naturally talented, and so much more. When you know yourself, no one can depreciate your worth. That’s the goal of this habit.
Practice: Create something for the world, it could be video content, articles, books, posts, something with the intention of wanting to give something to the people. Do this everyday and you’ll notice a lot of uniqueness in you.
Disclaimer: Everybody’s wants and needs are different. The time you need to build these habits will be different. So, if you decided to start building a habit, scientifically you need 14days straight commitment. It’s just 14 days, so give it a try and let me know which habit you like the most and will start soon?
