How to Fix Hormonal Imbalance Naturally on a Budget

Hormonal imbalance is a common issue, especially among women aged 18-30. It could lead to health problems, skin breakouts, and our energy level.

However, this shouldn’t be a major concern for you because there are many ways to balance your hormones with little to no cost.

Reasons of Hormonal Imbalance

Hormone imbalance occurs when there’s too much or too little of certain hormone in your body such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, and insulin.

Hormone imbalance can have multiple causes. The main reasons are your diet and gut health, stress, and your lifestyle like sleep pattern and so on.

Symptoms of Hormone Imbalance

When your hormones are imbalanced, you may experience fatigues, headaches, irregular menstruation, acnes, anxiety, cold feet and hands, and so much more.

Hormonal acne

I realized I had a hormonal imbalance issue when I started having acnes (which I never experienced before 20), the anxiety level got high. And I have cold feet and hands most of the time. That’s when I realize I need to find a solution to balance hormones.

(I’m not a certified person in that area but I just want to share how I fix my hormonal imbalance.)

Fix Your Diet

First and foremost, you need to focus on your diet. In 90% of the time, the food you consume everyday for a long period of time will be the main reason why you have hormonal imbalance.

Healthy diet for Hormonal imbalance

You don’t need to be on a specific diet system but you need to eat balanced food. Make sure you eat enough fibers, and proteins in your each meals. Reduce the intake of sugar and carbs. This not only helps with hormones, also is good for your overall health.

And one crucial reminder: Do not skip breakfast. What I would do is I try to eat more proteins in my breakfast.

Practice Meditation

After speaking about your food style, the next thing that will lead to hormonal imbalance is your overthinking and anxiety.

To manage your stress and anxiety, you need no expensive supplements but meditation. The benefits of meditation are endless – calmness, balance hormone, enhance sleep, reduce anxiety, etc.

Meditation for stress management

How can you practice is start your day by meditating 15mins in the morning. I recommend using some guided meditation videos on youtube. My favorite one is from Dr. Joe Dispenza’s morning meditations.

I also recommend you to meditate at the end of your day before you go to bed. It helps you forget about all the stress and responsibilities that you had during the day. So, it helps with your sleep.

Be Easy on Yourself

The next point is also related to stress management. We all are so driven with our future and stressed about it. I understand but go easy on yourself!

You got all the time. You got yourself. You know that you’ll figure it out in some way whatever it’s about the financial problems, your future or whatever.

Easy on you

I’m not saying that you’ve to drop everything, No! The point is do what you have to do and give breaks to your mental baggage of thoughts and anxiety.

Don’t push yourself more than your limit. Go easy and kind to yourself.

Spearmint Tea & Nuts

After talking about your mental stuff, it’s time to focus on food and drinks that you have take to balance hormone.

There are a few food and drinks that you can take that are really helpful for your hormones.

First is about spearmint tea. Drink one or two cup every morning and night especially if you have hormonal acnes. You can see the difference after 30 days.

The next is about nuts and seeds – walnuts, almond, brazil nuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds. They all good for your overall health and hormones.

Moreover, you should eat avocados, salmon, beans, greens, yogurts, which can contribute your meals as proteins, healthy fats, and fibers.

These are four things that actually help me fixed my imbalanced hormones on a budget.

If you want to level up, you can also add some supplements to your routines, such as Zinc, Omega-3, Vitamin D, Inositol, Probiotics, DIM (Diindolylmethane), and a lot, depending on your needs.

I’ll share about those supplements in the next blog.

If you take only one advice from this blog, let it be “Meditation”. You can see the results immediately.
