So now we’re in 2025. How fast the time flies. 2025 will also end in such a short time as well. That’s why we need to make the most out of it.
It’s a new year, and the best time to start improve yourself until you can even recognize yourself at the end of the year. This blog is how to make an effective plan for 2025 and trust me this is gonna change your whole year in a better way.
“Remember! You got a timeframe, “A Year or 365 Days”. With goals or not, with intentions to create the better you or not, that 365 days will be gone. But you got the chance to choose between “SPEND” OR “WASTE” your year. That’s your decision. But hey, I want you guys to see how many big things you can achieve and how much you can improve your life in a year.”
We have three sessions: REFLECTION, VISION, PLANNING, AND REVIEW

Before we move on, give yourself two hours to do the whole activities but this plan will help you the whole 2025. It’ll be worth your time. So let’s go.
1. REFLECTION
First thing first, we will analyze the past year, 2024. I want you to take a paper and a pen, or any digital pages to write down the following things:
- What things did I accomplish in 2024?
- What things made me feel happy and fulfilled in 2024?
- What things didn’t serve me in 2024?
- What do I regret for doing in 2024?
- What do I regret for not doing in 2024?
Answer these 5 questions. Write down everything you can think of. And you’ll see what things you need to work on and you need to give up in 2025.

Now for 2025, write down the title, “10 Things I Give Up in 2025”, and list 10 things or habits you’ll give up in 2025.
“Here’s the trick! We will only use the present tense for this planning. Our words have invisible magic that can affect our subconscious thoughts. When we use the present tense, we’re already doing it. But with the future tense, it reminds the brain that we can procrastinate the habit.”
2. VISION
The actions and results come from our thoughts. In other words, the vision in our mind first started and actions come along with it. It might be overwhelming and difficult for most of you but here’s the most fun and easy way to do so.
Again, pick a paper and pen or any digital form, (I use notion for all the planning in case you want any recommendations) and be ready that you have to write down. But before that, you need to do this mind movie creation and follow my words.
Visualization
Close your eyes and take some deep breathe. Now imagine you’re at the end of 2025 and you’re reflecting how you spent your 2025. VISUALIZE:
- what kinds of things you wish you did
- what kind of lifestyle you had
- what kinds of activities you did
- what kinds of big achievements you had
- what kinds of people you met
- what kinds of things and asset you bought
- what places you travelled to
- what job you worked at
- what amount of money you made
- and so much more things you can ask yourself
“It’ll be like a recap of 2025, like a TikTok recap video. Your belief should be that you’re rethinking about everything you’ve done in 2025. Feel the emotions, Feel the excitement in you, Feel everything in that mind movie. You can do it as long as you want until you have the sense that you already spent 2025 in the best way possible.”
I’m sure you will be so excited when you open your eyes after doing the exercise. Now it’s the time to write them down as detailed as you can. You can write down everything, your emotions, places, accomplishments, your big goals, I mean everything that’s in your vision. That’s how you want your 2025 to look like.

Using ChatGPT
After that, we will work with Mr. ChatGPT. You will put all the words you write down for your vision to ChatGPT and ask him to create you a perfect day in details. Tell him to write it like a story (I’m sure you’ll be amazed with how it looks like). This step is to make your vision more clear and arranged than before.
It’s really helpful, this tricks our mind to actually want to achieve it too.
The next step is to ask AI to list down all the goals and habits for 2025. At this point, I’m sure you already have the certain goals and habits you want to build and achieve in 2025 but asking ChatGPT will fill all the gaps and make it more detailed, so that you don’t miss out anything.

3. PLANNING
Let’s move on to the next step, Planning. The most important step in the whole process. At this time, you’ve all the resources, future vision, goals you want to achieve, habits you need to reach the goals, everything.
Again, don’t forget to write down your goals and habits!
So, you’re ready to plan your year. I know you might be thinking “How am I gonna plan a year, 365 days, in one day?” But trust me, it’s so easy and you just need to organize your information.
First! a quick reminder! Your goals need to be S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound). Your goals are for a year and so, make them smart! Now, let’s plan it together:
Categorize your goals
First step, create categories for your goals. It could be Lifestyle, Finance, Relationship and so on. But here’s my categories: Lifestyle, Finance, Skills to learn, and Challenges. You can have more if you want.
And list down 5 goals you want to achieve in 2025 under each categories. I suggest you to have only 5 because too many goals under one field will stress out your brain.
They could be as simple as that, “be fluent in a language, have a dream body, or else”

Monthly goals
At this point, we’re planning the whole year and thus, we need to plan out well so that you will have no excuse to say “I don’t know how to achieve it, I don’t know how should I manage my time, I don’t know how to organize all the goals”.
No! No more excuses to procrastinate in 2025! Now, the timeframe is shorter and easy to handle our plan.
For each month, you need to break down the goals that you wrote down above. This is for the purpose of building habits and make the goals more achievable.
Under each month, list 5 habits from each area that you’ll build in that 30 days, and also one goal from each category that you’ll work on each month. As a result, your brain will start thinking that “Oh this is attainable, I can do it” And, that’s what we want.
Example:
Lifestyle:
- to have breakfast during 60mins after waking up
- drink 3l of water
- go to gym for 5 days a week
- Meditate 15mins a day
4. Review
Finally, the last step which is to review. The purpose here is to keep track of your achievement of goals that you made. You know what, this habit will keep your brain motivated to take action consistently towards the goals and be more disciplined.
When it comes to reviewing, we will do weekly review, monthly review, and year end review. The point of doing it is important:
- to keep track of your goals
- to know where you’re now
- to see your goals constantly
It’s so important to see your goals as many time as you can. And it’s so important to make sure that you’re on the right direction. Moreover, it’s important that you’re improving and you realize that you’re improving.

Every week and every month, you’re gonna check if you’re working towards your goals, if there’s things that you’re missing to take action, or if any adjustment needed.
When you’re reviewing, you’re also going to plan for the next week as well by implementing your previous week, and also month.
Create a Vision Board
Speaking of seeing your goals as many time a day as you can, this leads to creating a vision board. If you’re reading this article, I’m sure you’re familiar with vision boards.
Basically, it’s a board that has all the photos that embody your goals and vision. It could be physical board or digital one like, desktop or phone wallpaper, or you can have both. But make it visible throughout the day.
“The most fun way to do it is using “Pinterest” platform. Make a board naming 2025 and collect all the aesthetic pictures that aligns with your goals. And upload those pictures to “Canva”, pick a vision board theme in it and arrange all the photos in your way.”

It’s fun and inspiring to do it. The purpose is to get familiar with your goals in your subconscious mind. What’s more is you’ll feel normal to reach your goals, which means, those are not dreams anymore, but the definite plan that you must have in this lifetime. I call it as becoming your identity.
Now you’re more than ready to start your incredible year. However, there’s one last thing, the most important step for the whole plan or the whole year!
“TAKE ACTION”
A good plan without action is a waste of time. It’ll bring you nothing. So, take action according to the plan. One more thing, don’t be afraid to adjust your plan accordingly because life doesn’t always go as plan.
I hope you have the best year and achieve all of your goals and dreams. And Happy New Year!
